Mechanics

Mechanics are the basic dice rolling systems in the chat to determine success or failure. It is important to note that these are optional in rp if people CHOOSE to use them. Though they may be mandatory for certain rp's.

In Discord, we use the 'Fortune' stat system, a basic start guide that involves easy rolls and simple but creative combat. All mechanics are subejced to change.

Stats

In the group, we use 6 STATS scores to represents your characters general strengths from a story point of view.
This is also how we figure out combat and dice rolling mechanics! Characters can only have 10 in each stat at most

6. hp.png

Hit Points (HP)
is your body health resistance towards diseases and harmful things. Each HP point represents 5 Health (e.g; 3 points = 15 Health). At least ONE stat must be put in HP

your opponents, and represents the following: strength, offence skills, and weapon efficiency.

3. def.png

2. dex.png

Character Levels

A character's experience and abilities are defined by their level,
it represents their capability and how people see them. Your character's level denotes how many stat points they have. Every character starts at Level 2 the average starting level for 'heroes'.

Level 1: Rookie (optional) - 20 stat points

A rookie is an optional level member to start at if they want to start a character at a relatively young age or inexperienced. Padawans are an idea example of a 'rookie' character.

Level 2: Hero (Starting) - 30 stat points

the starting default level of characters, these are heroes that are well defined by their actions, that stands out above your average-jo. Commander Cody and Rex (clone wars) are examples of Hero characters.

Level 3: Veteran (awarded) - 40 stat points
A level of character that is awarded for long term participation and contributing to the story (running gm games, friendly, bringing more members in). These are renown members of the ship, Obi-wan is a good example of a Veteran Character.

Level 4: Legend (Mod) - 60 stat points

Legends are mod only roles, characters who've earnt the title over their years of experience and victories. Luke Skywalker and Yoda are examples of Legend characters.

Dice Rolls

Dice rolls are divided into NarrativeCombat and Support, but all use rolls of d15+STAT.
When a prompt or problem is offered, the character has to roll a required number to succeed.

COMBAT DICE ROLL

This is for combat when fighting other players or NPC's, which consist of an ATK roll vs DEF/DEX roll, the difference in the ATK number vs DEF/DEX number = the damage to HP. If your character’s HP reaches 0 points, they are OUT OF THE ACTIVITY and must find a reason to retreat/pass out etc. This depends on whatever the agreed-upon story is from BOTH parties.

Characters who use The Force to physically attack someone would still be required to roll ATK as it is
a combat dice roll.

Process:
Step 1: The attacker rolls D15+ATK to attack.
Step 2: The defenders rolls D15+DEF/DEX to try and doge or tank.
Step 3: Work out the damage, d15+ATK- d15+DEF/DEX = DMG
Step 4: DMG - Health = Leftover Health (1 skill in HP = 5hp)
- If DEF score is higher than ATK score, the damage is blocked.

Abby attempts to slash Bob with her sword! [Dice roll 15: 11 + 5 ATK]
Abby = 16 ATK â–²

Bob chooses to defend with shield! [Dice roll 15: 5 + 8 DEF]
Bob = 13 DEF â–¼

Bob defended against some damage!
16 ATK - 13 DEF = 3 DMG

Bob's health depleted!
19 Health - 3 DMG = 16 Health

SUPPORT DICE ROLE

These are roles are where a character uses their abilities, to disadvantage an opponent. Succeeding these roles gives the enemy disadvantage for the FOLLOWING round! Depending on the means of disadvantaging your opponent a character could roll any stat. Creativity & teamwork is key.

Abbey is trying to use the force to trip Bob [Dice roll 15: 5 + 7 ATK]
Abby = 12 ATK â–²

Bob tries to fight back and physically push past [Dice roll 15: 4 + 3 DEF]
Bob = 9 DEF â–¼

Bob can't push hard enough to get past Abby's powers. He's slowed down, his next role on his turn is now at a disadvantage!

Narrative DICE ROLE

This is for non-combat events and role plays, often used towards NPCs. This one is simpler to use and plays with luck.

Hacking requires score 11. Bob attempts to hack into the lab console! [Dice roll 15: + 4 INTL]

Bob = 19 INTL â–²
Bob may not be the tech savviest but by rotten luck he managed to hack it!
