Age of Blood
With the fall of the Empire and Sith Emperor a repeated cycle of superpowers formed in its wake. Rebellion turned into republics, republic turning into Dictatorships, each one rising and falling faster than the last. The galaxy had a taste for superpowers, and it had destroyed itself in trying to replace it.

So many planets and single entities fought for control on their own that the galaxy turned on itself, planet turning on its neighbouring planet, entire systems militarising and shutting themselves off from each other as invasion after invasion became the new normal.
This wasn't war anymore, this was a culture of galactic violence, where no planet, space station or corner often galaxy was safe, it was kill or be killed. It was madness, from the core to the outer rim.

In the end, even the most loyal turned their back on their masters, Jedi forsaking their councils, Imperials hanging up their helmets. Everyone for themselves.

This was the Age of Blood.

The Haven Ships
Home-1

Story
Edge of the Galaxy: Home-1- takes place 200 years after the Age of Resistance, aboard the capital ship 'Home-One' a vessel re-purposed to accommodate thousands of refugees from the new galactic war.
A travelling space station exploring the edge of the galaxy, visiting new worlds, outrunning danger and picking up Jedi, SIth, Imperials and whoever is willing to abide by its laws.

Home-1
Across the galaxy, as worlds burn and war wages in every sector people find civilisation and peace on starships, vessels of hope where entire cities can live in the belief that they are safe from political conflict. These new societies among the stars were known as 'Haven Ships'. Refuge from chaos.

For you, it is Home-1, where your story begins.

A once great war-vessel from a lost-era, Home-1 is equipped with the resources and accessibility to house several cities worth of civilians, each section of the ship divided into districts, each level its own town with elected officials, peacekeepers and industry.
Armed to the teeth, surrounded by smaller Haven Ships, Security escorts and traders, Home-1 is the mecca of all Haven ships in the outer rim. Sure citizens are free to leave and explore the galaxy, but there will be no safer home than Home-1.

All under the watchful eye of its captain.

One must let go of the past
to hold on to the future
Ship Factions

Despite being a 'united community' Home-1 is like every other city, with its own conflicting gangs and factions outside of the ship's security. You have spent over 5 years on the same ship, among people you'd once considered your enemy, and despite an understanding that all-out war would ruin what you have you can't help but take a swing every now and then as conflict explodes and 'turf wars' arise.

(Your characters must be part of one the 5 factions)

Imperial Militarists
Location: Hangerbays
Leader: Captain Naomi Jax
The Imperial Miliatrists make up a brigade of, troopers, civilians and captains, now seeking refuge. As most can image they aren't well-liked, but they provide order and peace in their sector of the ship, governing control of the hanger bays and exports. Unlike most other gangs and factions on board, the Imperials work well with the ship's security and maintain order under control, lead by their highest ranking leader, veteran on the front line Captain Naomi Jax.

Jedi Peacekeepers
Location: Central Plaza
Leader: Jedi Master Ovo
Located at the heart of the ship, an urban slub town Plaza sits amidst of an artificial island, towers connecting the floor to the ceiling and walkways moving from one side of the space to the next. a makeshift dwelling of the first settlers, and the Jedi. Lead by Jedi Master Ovo the Jedi provide humanitarian aid around the plaza and keep the peace, even on rare occasions, commissioned by the captain to undertake an investigation into 'dubious circumstances'.

The Dark Covenant
Location: Maintenance Tunnels
Leader: Omen (Darth Tharax) & Jacklyn Blisk (Lord Delta)
In the depths of the ship's maintenance tunnels, and engines are the Dark Covenant, a gang of Sith and Darkside idealists that practice their arts in the shadows. To those under their protection, they are seen as underdogs, fighting for the un-recognised and unappreciated poorer workers, who like themselves live a tough enduring life in maintenance, the survival of the strongest. The Covenant may be smallest of the gangs, but notable, run by the 'Sith Sisters', Darth Tharax, and Lord Delta.

The Mandalorian Guild
Location: Cargo Hold
Leader: Primus Kharn
Hidden away in the Cargo hold of Home-1 is a guild of mercenaries, a guild whose religion is is their armour, their mask and their weapon, the Guild of the Mandalorian. Though not aligned to protecting anyone outside of their own the Guild is a secluded group, taking in anyone able to pass the trials to become one of them, selling their skills and abilities to better re-forge their future. Many hire the Guild to undergo personal vendettas or investigate others. Lead by elder warlord Primus Kharn they do not stand for or against any of the other factions remaining natural ... until paid otherwise.

Crimson Dawn Cartel
Location: Trade District
Leader: Kas Leach
Crime is everywhere, especially Home-1, the criminal underworld was the first to inhabit the ship before the rest of its refugees, most of the criminals there turning straight cut to set up a business for themselves now that the Hutts owning them were gone, but for those that didn't turn became the Crimson Dawn Cartel, thugs, spice pushers and thieves. Though they are not 'criminals' the Captain finds it more manageable to work with them than against then, the evil you know, especially if its former Hutt collogue Kas Leach.
